ICBC and police across BC are launching a month-long campaign focusing on high-risk driving behaviour. Concentration will include speeding, failing to yield and left turns at intersections.
Failing to yield the right-of-way is a leading cause of 43% of all reported crashes in the province. Every year, 1,300 pedestrians are injured or killed at intersections from 2009 to 2013.
Police across the province will be stepping up enforcement targeting all high-risk driving. The campaign also includes new radio and interactive digital advertising and social media campaigns.
