Suzuki Motorcycle Recalls

Suzuki Motorcycle logoSuzuki motorcycle recalls for an electrical problem that can lead to the battery losing power suddenly causing the bike to stall without warning.

Another issue is the corrosion of the ignition switch terminal preventing the engine from stopping when the key is turned off. This problem affects the V-Strom made in 2014 and 2015.

A third issue was the wiring harness rubbing against the bottom of the fuel tank causing the wire to short circuit.

Over 68,344 motorcycles are affected manufactured between 2008 and 2012 starting March 4, 2016.

Affected models under this recall are: 2008-2012 Suzuki AN400, 2008-2012 Suzuki DL1000, 2008-2009 Suzuki GSF1250S, 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX-R600, 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX-R750, 2008 Suzuki GSX1300BK, 2008-2012 Suzuki GSX1300R, 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX650F, 2009-2010 Suzuki SFV650, 2008-2010 Suzuki VLR1800, 2009-2010 Suzuki VZ1500.
