May is Motorcycle Awareness Month in BC. Car drivers are urged to watch out for motorcycles as they make their way on to the roads after a long winter hibernation.
Motorcyclists are 28 times more likely to be killed in a collision than car drivers.
Car drivers are asked to give motorcycles room on the road or time to clear the intersection before turning.
Motorcycle riders can make themselves more visible by wearing conspicuous gear and choosing the proper lane position.
